It’s difficult to write a history of Hackberry Tea without talking about Sagebrush Coffee. Sagebrush, our sister company, started as an online business for selling freshly roasted coffee in 2012. After about a year of success, we decided to add a line of teas to our product offering at Sagebrush. We spent a lot of time researching and found that the love for a great afternoon iced tea or a nice cup of hot tea before bed is as good as a great cup of coffee in the morning. The new line of teas sold generally well on the Sagebrush website but after a while, we found that our tea customers and coffee customers were two different groups of people. We wanted to be able to expand the tea business, specifically cater to the tea customers, and be able to offer discounts that fit the tea business better. Thus Hackberry Tea was born.

Hackberry Tea is a family-owned, Arizona based company that sources and sells premium loose-leaf teas. Our culinary-inspired, gourmet, creations are crafted in small batches using only the finest loose tea, freshly ground spices, vanilla, dried fruit, nuts, and artisan ingredients.
